Tallahassee house fire causes $35,000 in damage

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Fire Department responded to a fire Thursday night that caused an estimated $35,000 worth of damage.

TFD responded to a late night fire Thursday on Leon County’s Northside.   

Fire crews were on scene within minutes and noticed heavy smoke and fire coming from the back of the home.  

TFD quickly put out the fire and conducted a search of the house, finding that all residents of the home had made it out prior to the fire TFD's arrival. 

One resident of the home was treated on scene for minor burns. No other injuries were reported.

TFD is saying the cause of the fire is being ruled as electrical in nature and the damage is estimated to be $35,000.
