TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The city of Tallahassee is getting ready for one of North Florida's Largest beer festivals and the boost to the economy it will bring.
The 6th annual Florida Tap Invitational is this weekend.
Presented by Proof Brewing Company and For The Table Hospitality, the event is about to kick off. It'll feature over 40 Florida craft breweries.
It attracts people from all over the southeast, right here to the Big Bend area.
With the large crowd this festival brings in, it also means economic gain for the city.
"Any time you have people coming into town to both participate in an event like that and come to be a guest, you're going to see hotel room spikes, you'll see folks eating in restaurants, you'll see folks prone to drinking craft beer going out to the local watering holes," said Jay Revell, VP of the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce. "So, there's always an economic impact that comes with that."
The annual Florida Tap Invitational will begin Friday night and continue through Saturday.
