Tallahassee, Fla (WTXL) - More than 70 World War II and Korean War Veterans are leaving for a trip that they'll never forget.
Honor Flight Tallahassee flew these veterans to Washington D.C. this morning so they could visit National War memorials honoring the sacrifices of those who have served.
Community donations fund the $93,000 flight to take North Florida and South Georgia veterans, guardians and a host of county staffers and paramedics to the memorial. The high- production operation that aims to make sure every veteran is safe and comfortable during their travels.
They're expected to arrive back in Tallahassee later this evening.
