TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The self-proclaimed leader behind a known hate group in Tallahassee is facing new charges for lying to law enforcement.
Jordan Jereb was arrested on Tuesday for “false report to law enforcement.” He will have his first appearance on Thursday for the new charge.
The charge appears connected to to false statements he gave to law enforcement on Feb. 15, the day after the Parkland shooting.
It's unclear what exactly lead the state to file the additional charge. WTXL ABC 27 is working to get more details.
Jereb is also expected to be in court Wednesday morning for a hearing regarding his probation violation. The hearing will review a motion to set bond in the case.
Jereb was arrested after the FBI raised his mother’s house in Piney Z and found “tactical knives” allegedly belonging to him. That violates the terms of his probation from a 2016 extortion case.
State investigator testifies the reason for the FBI raid of Jordan Jereb’s residence is because of self-proclaimed ties to Parkland shooter Nikolas Cruz.
