TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- Fifteen girl scouts in Tallahassee participated in a simulated crime scene investigation Saturday.
The Girl Scouts gathered at St. Stephens Lutheran Church for the activity. Cadettes were assigned to forensic teams and required to gather evidence for analysis using several investigative tools, such as fingerprints, DNA and impressions. The girls were able to learn the steps and techniques used to determine a suspect, secure a warrant, arrest a suspect and interrogate a suspect. The girls say they were able to gain hands on experience through the real-life simulation.
