TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- After recent storms damaged the headquarters of one Tallahassee nonprofit, a local firm stepped in to donate office space.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Big Bend (BBBSBB) was in need of a new place after mold and structural issues.
The firm of James Moore & Co., CPAs heard about their situation and offered a thousand square feet of space at its location on Tim Gamble Place.
Firm partner Mark Payne says it was a perfect opportunity to help out.
"It's our responsibility as Tallahasseans, as Americans, when you see someone in need, to step in and help them," he said. "It doesn't have to be in your community. It can be local, it can be national, but that's just part of being an American."
BBBSBB CEO Alva Striplin says the organization expects to fully move into the new space next week.
