TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Firefighters reported that they put out a two-story apartment fire on Mission Road Friday afternoon.
The Tallahassee Fire Department said that they were called to the Mission Grove Apartments Complex around 4:30 p.m. When firefighters arrived, crews found fire coming from one apartment's balcony.
Firefighters said they made their way up to the balcony and attic at the same time, so they could extinguish the balcony flames and any other fire that had spread to the rooms.
They said that when more crew arrived, firefighters searched all the apartments next to the one the fire started in and found that no one was inside or injured.
Damages are estimated to be at $90,000.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Tallahassee Fire Department and the State Fire Marshall.
