Tallahassee Firefighters Investigate after Old Car Wash Goes Up in Flames

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Investigators are looking into a raging fire that sparked on Pensacola Street in Tallahassee yesterday.

It appears an abandoned drive-thru car wash near the intersection of Ocala road and Pensacola street went up in flames Tuesday night.

Today, we spoke to Johnathan Kimbrel with the Tallahassee Fire Department who told us more about what went in to shutting down the flames.

He said, "TPD actually noticed and reported a fire in the block of Pensacola and when our crews arrived on scene, they found one of those automatic car washes fully involved. It was abandoned at the time and there's no power running to the building. So right now it's under investigation by the State Fire Marshall's Office."

They haven't reported any injuries as a result of the fire.
