TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD) battles a late afternoon fire at the 3000 block of Shannon Lakes Drive.
According to firefighters, they got a call just after 5:30pm on Monday, September 14, 2015 from a neighbor who claimed they saw smoke coming from the house.
When firefighters arrived, they found smoke and flamed coming from the roof of a house, and were able to put it out.
Crews say they believe the fire began by a faulty exhaust fan located inside the attic. No one was home at the time of the fire and damages are estimated to be at $35,000. The Red Cross was called in to assist the residents.
