TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--Tallahassee firefighters have lost a brother.
Captain Christopher Meeks tells us Engineer Chris Thurman died on New Year's Day from Leukemia.
Capt. Meeks says he proudly served the Tallahassee Fire Department for 28 years, and they are in mourning.
He says Thurman's family are in their prayers. They are wearing black bands over their badges in his honor.
