TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - A firefighter sustained minor burns after battling a house fire in Tallahassee.
The blaze in the 3100 block of Brandywine Drive was called in a little after 10 p.m. Wednesday night, according to the Tallahassee Fire Department.
When firefighters arrived, they say there was heavy smoke coming from the garage of a two-story single-family home.
The firefighters put out the blaze and damages are estimated to be around $20,000. Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.
None of the people living in the home were injured but one firefighter was taken to the hospital and has not been able to return to work.
TFD says a pet turtle was also saved from the fire.
