TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)- Earlier this week the Regal Cinemas at Governor's Square mall implemented its bag check policy. Sunday, firefighters responded to the theater after customers reported seeing smoke.
Around 1:30 p.m. several customers were evacuated from the building and a single fire truck was outside of the building.
According to a customer, the fire started in movie room 8 where kids were reported to have been playing with smoke bombs. Several minutes late other customers reported seeing smoke.
The theater was temporarily closed while firefighters responded, but normal movie operations have resumed by 4:30 p.m.
No further details were available at this time.
