Tallahassee Fire Department Responds to Gas Leak at FSU

TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Fire Department responded to a gas leak on the campus of FSU Monday afternoon.

According to firefighters, hazardous materials teams responded around 1 p.m. Monday to the Aero-Propulsion, Mechatronics and Energy Building, also known as the AME building.

A 200 pound cylinder of Ethylene gas was found to be slowly leaking, firefighters said. Occupants were temporarily evacuated and let back in just after 3:15 p.m., FSU officials reported on Twitter.

The cause of the leak has not yet been released.
