TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Downtown Improvement Authority Board made no moves concerning CEO Paige Carter-Smith at Monday's monthly meeting.
Carter-Smith is listed as part of an FBI bribery investigation.
The board requested assistant city attorney Lou Norville to look into whether or not Carter-Smith had breached any ethical rules concerning lobbying. After reviewing with the city and county attorneys' offices, Norville said there was no indication of lobbying by Carter-Smith outside of her role at the improvement authority since June 2016.
The chairman said the review satisfied the board's concerns.
"Last month, I think we had a pretty healthy discussion," said Chris Dudley.
The board has its next meeting on April 9. The FBI has made no indication as to when its investigation into carter-smith and city commissioner Scott Maddox will be complete.
