TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Tallahassee Community College is inviting start-ups in the Capital city to be apart of its free Business Incubator Program.
In partnership with the Tallahassee Downtown Improvement Authority, the program will give six participants space at the Saturday Downtown Marketplace for three months.
At the end of the program, participants will have the opportunity to present a project pitch to a review committee and potential investors. One will be chosen to continue launching their business at the Tallahassee Community College Capitol Center, free of charge, for six months. They will also receive a scholarship to participate in the Tallahassee and Leon County Entrepreneurial Excellence Program; a course for early-stage businesses taught by local experts. Finally they will receive a one-year paid membership to the Florida Retail Federation.
To be eligible, applicants must have at least one professional certification from the National Retail Federation in Customer Service and Sales, Advanced Customer Service and Sales, or Retail Management Operations. Applicants must also complete the program application and have at least one letter of recommendation.
