TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - It's been almost a year since former Tallahassee City Manager Rick Fernandez stepped down amid allegations of ethics violations.

On Monday the City Commission will get one step closer to finding a new city manager.

WTXL ABC's Jada Williams was live Monday morning from City Hall with the latest updates on the search.

The Commission is holding a special meeting Monday to interview the three final candidates up for the city manager position.

After a nationwide search for a qualified candidate, the pool was narrowed down to Reese Goad, Tallahassee's current Interim City Manager; Lee Feldman, the city manager of Fort Lauderdale; and Jill Silverboard, the deputy city manaer of CLearwater.

The interviews will include group interviews as well as one-on-one interviews starting at 8 a.m. Monday and expecting to last until noon.

The commission will come back together Monday at 4:45 p.m. to discuss the candidates and either decide on a candidate or continue with the recruitment process.

Monday's decision will be finalized at the Sept. 26 City Commission meeting.
