TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - The City of Tallahassee's Growth Management Department is getting some Ivy League attention. It has been deemed one of the best in it's class, according to Harvard University.

The city says they earned the honor for the "Residential Money Back Guarantee Program," which was listed as a Top 25 program out of more than 500 entries in the Innovation in American Government Competition.

Department members will get special recognition from the Mayor and City Commissioners at the city commission meeting on Wednesday, May 13th.

Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum says this honor shows hard work has paid off for these employees: "By doing this, we send a message that Tallahassee is more than a great place to live - it's also a great place to do business."
