TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - City commissioners and business advocates meet to discuss their hopes, despite presidential cuts to the national budget for passenger rail travel.
City Commissioner Scott Maddox tells us city leadership is hoping to attract Sunset Limited to construct passenger train routes to Tallahassee.
This will open up a new way to commute between the capital city and places like New Orleans and Jacksonville.
Commissioner Maddox says meetings like this, hosted by the network of entrepreneurs & business advocates, are important to pave the way for change to public transportation in Florida.
