TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- New Mount Zion AME Church in Tallahassee connected residents with community resources Saturday.
The Department of Children and Famiilies, as well as the Department of Elder Affairs were on hand offering advice, information, and services. The event was free and open to the public and was an event organizers say was targeted towards the whole family.
The pastor explained the purpose of the event. "The community has needs. That's just the bottom line. There are people in our community that does not know that help is available for them. So an effort like this makes the community know, the surrounding community of French town and all areas of our city. Let them know, that hey there are agencies right here in our city that can help you out," said Pastor Anton Elwood.
