TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- Break out the bikes, Tallahassee. May is National Bike Month, and the city has a few events planned to celebrate.
On May 1, Railroad Square Art Park is holding a "Blessing of the Bikes" at 6:30 p.m.
On May 9, helmets will be handed out at Tom Brown Park to remember Tyler Simpkins, a Tallahassee man who died in 2013 after falling while longboarding without a helmet.
National Bike to Work Week is May 11 to 15, but if you can't find a path that gets you to your job, Trailahassee has a map of trails you can travel at any time.
