TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The community came out for the city's 59th annual egg hunt.
Hundreds joined in the festivities. They took pictures with the Easter bunny, played games, and of course, searched for colorful eggs hidden all over Myers Park.
The City Parks Recreation and Neighborhoods Affairs Department hosts the event each year, so families can spend the holiday together.
"Now that we have our own babies, it's great to bring them out for the fun stuff. I mean they can't do much, but the music and just the environment itself is really nice," said Tallahassee residents Kieara and Ericka Walters. "It's really nice to see all the families out here enjoying each other's company, enjoying other families."
Inmates at the Wakulla Correctional Institution dyed 2,000 eggs for the kids to hunt down.
Local businesses donated baskets full of goodies for the kids who collect the grand prize eggs out of the 3,000 scattered around Myers Park.
