TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- Some Tallahassee organizations have found a new way to try to raise money: selling nude calendars.

They feature real people- volunteers and employees- rather than models, which they say is making their sales a success.

The farm girls at Ten-Speed Greens want to raise money to re-open their urban farm in Tallahassee. So, they decided to put together the 2015 Farmer Tans Calendar, featuring their very own workers and volunteers, with no digital retouching.

"They're just regular women who wanted to participate and we had a really fun time doing it," said Farm Manager Claire Mitchell.

Mitchell says in just two weeks, they've already raised more than $15,000 and gained national and international attention.

"We have all of these people from Italy and Germany and Ireland asking whether or not we'll ship internationally," said Mitchell.

While they've faced some social media criticism, Mitchell says the photos are tasteful. All the most important parts are covered up by fruits and vegetables that you'll find at their farm.

And they aren't the only Tallahassee organization that's stripping down for some cash.

"We're having a food fight in different wigs and speedos and that sort of thing," said Gaines Street Pies Owner Keremy Matlow.

The Gaines Street Festival put together a calendar in preparation of their event on October 11. It features a different business from the Gaines Street area each month in risque poses. Matlow says even though they've heard some negative comments about the calendar, they're not concerned.

"This is just art," said Matlow. "Nudity doesn't have to be taboo."
