TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Dozens of businesses were part of the drive to encourage people to spend their dollars in the Capital City.
Mingo Mania at Lake Ella is in its first holiday season as a business. The quirky store offers customized lawn ornaments as well as a selection of products featuring their slogan "Be kind."
Owner Stacy Wallace says she saw a boost in business during the Shop Local 850 Weekend and is hoping for more of the same this week.
"I had people come in the next day and say they saw us on television, and they thought the flamingos were cute. This little Christmas one -- just to crack you up," said Wallace. "The great thing about Mingo Mania not only being a small local business is we can customize the gift for you, so that gives it a little bit more special attention."
Mingo Mania will be open through Saturday to give shoppers as much time to grab gifts before Christmas.
