TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- Businesses in Tallahassee say it's been a "successful" holiday season, as shoppers grabbed last-minute gifts.
Customers streamed into stores over the weekend to snag deals and presents for Christmas and Hanukkah.
Hearth & Soul said the past few days had been pretty busy -- and, looking back, the business said it was "an exciting time" to help people prepare for the holidays.
The store gave away gifts every day in December until Christmas. Hearth & Soul says the giveaway was a great way to gain a social media audience and build up its customer base.
"We had fun every night doing the videos and being able to put that on Instagram. Everybody was anxious to see who was next, who won," said customer service manager Kimberly Waller. "We had some families take pictures in front of the window."
The business said it'll do another giveaway next holiday season with a new theme for the window display.
Hearth & Soul will take its own break to clean up, recharge and get ready for 2017.
The store closes Tuesday, December 27 and reopens Tuesday, January 3.
