TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Animal Service Center is filled to capacity.
The shelter has seen an influx of strays in the last few days, filling their kennels with companion animals who also need loving homes.
The full shelter places stress on the facility and staff, and has volunteers straining to find compatible humans for their new arrivals, like Peyton.
"This is Peyton, as you can see she's very well behaved she's a sweetie. She's in great health. She's already been spayed she's ready to go home. She's had all her shots. Micro chipped," said Perri Dale, from the shelter. "So she would love to go home with you today. If she's not the right one though, we have we're gonna have 80 more dogs and 50 more cats available by Friday.
Pets can make unconventional, and this weekend, free, gifts during the holidays, but they're also a big responsibility.
