Talks of Serving Alcohol on FAMU's Campus

Posted

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -  Talk is surrounding Florida A & M University's Bragg Memorial Stadium, as officials debate on whether to serve alcohol at the stadium.

Representative Alan Williams plans to introduce a bill that would extends the boundary where three-day licenses for temporary alcohol sales are allowed. The extension would include the Alfred B. Lawson Center, as well as Bragg Memorial Stadium.

Citizens were able to hear details about the proposed bill at last night's annual Leon County Legislative Delegation meeting. Representative William's office tells us that they are waiting on proof of publication before filing the bill.

We also reached out to FAMU for the exact boundaries that the bill would effect, but we have not heard back yet. Officials from Representative William's office tells us we should see the bill filed within the next several weeks.
