TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) --- The SWAT team was called out for a report that a man fired a shotgun and then barricaded himself inside his home.
Deputies were called to the 8500 block of Manor Drive around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. The suspect, 70-year-old James Alday, reportedly fired his rifle at a contractor and then at some neighborhood pets.
The SWAT team was enroute to the location when deputies said they were able to take Alday into custody without incident.
Alday was taken to the Leon County Jail and is expected to be charged with aggravated assault and other related charges.
