SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - The Suwannee County Fire Rescue has reported an officer involved accident that has sent three, including the officer, to the hospital with serious injuries.

At 6:30pm SCFR said that its units along with law enforcement were sent to an area on Ohio Ave (US 129) near Andre Davis St for a two car accident.

Firefighters said that one of the cars involved was a patrol car with the Live Oak Police Department.

A total of three people, including Officer Quinton Swader, were air lifted to UF Health in Gainesville with serious injuries.

Florida Highway Patrol says Officer Quinton was traveling with his Emergency Lights on when he had to swerve sharply to miss an improperly parked tractor trailer.

Troopers say that is when he and another vehicle driven by Daisy Edgar hit each other.

The northbound lane of Ohio Ave is blocked at this time due to the accident being investigated and traffic will need to find an alternate route to avoid congestion traveling on Ohio Ave.

No further information is being released.
