SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - The Suwannee County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man who claimed to be the son of Osama Bin Laden and threatened to blow up a Walmart if the store manager didn't read him off codes for $25,000 in gift cards.

Deputies say that they responded to the Walmart on US 129 north near I-10 for a bomb threat called into the store.

Sheriff Sam St. John with the Suwannee County Sheriff's Office said that a man had called the store and demanded that the manager read him off the codes for 25 gift cards valued at $25,000 in total.

The man told the store manager he was the son of Osama Bin Laden and that if he didn't read off the gift card codes then a bomb would go off in the store.

The man also claimed there were men outside of Walmart with guns ready to shoot and kill anyone who left the store.

The Suwannee County Fire Rescue says that roads were closed in the area as they, assisted by the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office, did a walk through of the building with a bomb detecting K-9. They were unable to find anything posing a threat and cleared the building.

SCSO is now working with investigators to find the man who called and are asking anyone with any information to come forward.
