SUWANNEE COUNTY, FL (WTXL) - Suwannee County Fire Rescue wants to add a new tool to their ranks...a drone.
The department says the drone would be used in a variety of ways, including helping to find missing people, spotting any accidents on I-10 and I-75, and monitoring chemical spills.
They say they have considered safety risks involved with drones, and think the benefits outweigh any concerns.
They'll know if they are awarded the grant by the end of January.
