SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Firefighters said that a homeowner has been displaced after an early morning fire destroyed in their home, killing several of their dogs.
Sunday morning, the Suwannee County Fire Rescue was called to a structure fire on 16th Terrance.
When they arrived, they found a one-story home in flames. As crews worked to extinguish the fire, they said that the homeowner had already gotten out safely from the house.
They said that there were no injuries on scene, although several of the homeowners dogs were not able to make it out and died in the fire.
The SCFR Fire Marshall is investigating the cause of the blaze.
