SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A Suwannee County Sheriff's Office deputy has been suspended after an exchange caught on video between him and a resident has been circulating online.
SCSO said they are aware of a video that is circulating online that captured an exchange between a member of the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office and a citizen on Monday.
According to SCSO, as a result of that video, Sheriff St. John has ordered an internal affairs investigation to be conducted, and that member has been placed on administrative leave.
Until the investigation is concluded they cannot provide any further details.
The man in the video said as he was walking down the sidewalk, he was assaulted by the deputy for no reason.
