SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Deputies were on Brandford High School's campus Wednesday morning, conducting a search for drugs.
According to the Suwannee County Sheriff's Office, deputies searched students' lockers and cars at Branford High School for drugs Wednesday morning.
Deputies say they conducted the search at the request of the high school's administration. The search was under the direction of School Resource Deputy Supervisor, Sgt. Lee Willis and BHS School Resource Deputy, Brad Mincks.
Several K-9 units were also brought in to help with the search.
All of the student’s book bags were left in the hallway during class change and the K-9 conducted free air searches of the book bags. Once that was completed, the students were allowed to retrieve their book bags. All of the vehicles in the parking lot were also subject to a free air search.
No drugs were discovered during the search. There was minimal disruption due to the operations and classes continued as normal.
