SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - The Suwannee County Sheriff's Office is investigating an incident at Suwannee Middle School where a student allegedly took apart a pencil sharpener and removed the blade.
SCSO states a student allegedly brought a pencil sharpener to school Friday and gave it to another student, who then allegedly took it apart and removed the blade.
SCSO says many concerned citizens have reached out to them about the incident.
According to SCSO, there is a lot of misinformation circulating and the facts surrounding the case are still being investigated.
SCSO says this is an ongoing investigation and all details cannot be released at this time.
SCSO states they are working diligently to resolve the problem along with the school board.
