SUWANNEE Co., FL (WTXL) - Crews in Suwannee County were on scene Wednesday morning for a crash that left one person trapped in a vehicle.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, crews were called south of US 90 on CR 137 around 7 a.m.
There, they say Ashley Paul was driving on a curve and traveled into the shoulder of the road.
Troopers say Paul tried to pull the wheel to the left and ended up rotating and hitting a tree. The vehicle kept moving and struck a second tree before coming to a stop.
Suwannee County Fire Rescue says Paul was trapped in the vehicle when they arrived on scene.
Paul was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and troopers say she is being charged with failure to drive in a single lane and for not wearing a seat belt.
