TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - 'Sustainable Tallahassee' is trying to cut down on the number of water bottles used and disposed of in the Capital City.
They say less than 25 percent of the 50 billion plastic bottles are used each year.
In light of this, the organization decided to create the "water wagon" to help clean up the city during festivals.
The city's water wagon was launched at the 2016 Jingle Bell Run.
Since then, it has served the public at many city sponsored events, including this year's Lemoyne Chain of Parks Art Festival, where it was a major asset in "greening" the festival.
The water wagon was awarded a 2017 Energy Innovator Award by Rethink Energy Florida.
