TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Sustainable Tallahassee held a meeting Wednesday to discuss their plans to help make Tallahassee greener.

The reuse, reduce and recycling committee developed strategies on improving Tallahassee's recycling rate, ways to reduce consumption, and reuse materials.

Executive Director Jim Davis says it is all about finding creative ways to raise awareness about sustainability.

"Talking about what we wanted to do in the future, we're gonna adopt a couple of roads," said Davis. "You know trying to get members involved trying to start looking and that's when we educate children."

Davis also says their organization is planning to have a green racing program with Gulf Winds Track Club to promote sustainability and fitness in the summer.
