TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - City of Tallahassee Commissioners vote to keep the suspended city manager on paid administrative leave pending an ethics investigation.

Rick Fernandez is being investigated on allegations that he accepted football tickets from a lobbyist.

Commissioners voted to have the city attorney retain an outside law firm to conduct an independent investigation into the complaint.

Their goal is to have results of the investigation by January.

A follow up motion was passed to have the attorney's office look into Fernandez's retirement options.
