TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee man is behind bars for drug trafficking after he told deputies the large amount of meth they found in his car was for personal use.
According to court documents, on Tuesday at 7:55 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop of a suspicious vehicle on Sutor Road.
During the traffic stop, Bernard Morgan, 42, told deputies that his license was suspended. Deputies then asked Morgan were there any drugs or weapons in the vehicle and he told them there weren’t any.
Documents say deputies searched the vehicle and found three plastic bags of meth weighing over 20 grams.
When Morgan was asked about the meth, he admitted that it belonged to him and stated, “he has a problem and uses large amounts of meth.” He also specified that the meth was all for personal use.
According to documents, Morgan was issued a traffic citation for driving with a suspended license and was transported to the Leon County Detention Facility. He is being charged with trafficking meth because he had over 14 grams of meth in his possession.
