CLARKSTON, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say two suspects are in custody in connection with the death of a man whose body was found on the Clarkston campus of Georgia Perimeter College, just east of Atlanta.
One of the suspects, 28-year-old Christopher Shepard, faces a murder charge in the killing of 23-year-old Alpha Oumar Diallo of Stone Mountain. He died of strangulation and blunt force trauma to his head.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced the arrests early Thursday morning.
A second suspect, 44-year-old Constance Mason, has been charged with one count of making false statements and writings. Both suspects live in Clarkston, near the campus where Diallo's body was discovered Monday.
It wasn't known early Thursday whether either suspect has a lawyer.
