Suspect in Valdosta Armed Robbery Arrested

VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Police have arrested man they said was involved in an armed robbery in Valdosta.

The Valdosta Police Department said that Tyler Morrison was arrested on Friday around 12 p.m. after they spotted him at an apartment complex in the 1700 block of South Patterson Street.

VPD said that detectives are questioning Morrison about the armed robbery at "Unique Kollections" on Nov.6.

According to police, at approximately 4:40 a.m., authorities were called to the armed robbery at the business. The victim described an African-American male who had walked into the business with a gun demanding money.

The store employee told police that the man had pointed a gun at her and snatched an undisclosed amount of money from her.

Officers searched the area for the offender and after accessing the video surveillance, an officer was able to identify Morrison as the suspect.

After questioning, Morrison will be taken to Lowndes County Jail to face armed robbery charges.
