Suspect in FSU law professor's death goes to court

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - One of the men accused in the murder of a Florida State University law professor will be in a Leon County court Tuesday.

Sigfredo Garcia is charged with conspiracy to commit murder and solicitation to commit murder.

According to court documents, Garcia, along with Katherine Mag-banua and Luis Rivera, is accused of shooting and killing FSU law professor Dan Markel at his home in July 2014.

Garcia's pre-trial will start at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
