Survey: Florida and Georgia drivers among "least friendly" drivers in America

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Florida and Georgia appear to have some of the least friendliest drivers in America.

That's according to a new survey out by website AutoVantage.com which lists the friendliest and no so friendly drivers in the nation.

On the not so nice side, Atlanta, Orlando, and Miami are listed, while the top spot goes to Houston, Texas. (full list below).

The survey says Atlanta drivers are:

  •     Most likely to admit purposely bumping another driver in reaction to perceived poor driving
  •     Most likely to see another driver speeding
  •     Most Likely to acknowledge tailgating someone else
  •     2nd most likely to see other drivers eating or drinking while behind the wheel

Orlando drivers:

  •     3rd Most likely to acknowledge talking on their phone while driving
  •     Tied for 2nd Most likely to acknowledge cutting over into another lane without notice (tied with Atlanta and Seattle)
  •     4th most likely to see other drivers slam on their brakes

Miami drivers:

  •     Most likely to acknowledge honking the horn at another driver
  •     Most likely to have observed someone else running a red light
  •     2nd most likely to have seen someone else slam on the brakes

If you're looking for friendly drivers in Florida or Georgia, you may want to head to Tampa. They're on the "friendliest drivers" list at number 11. (full list below).

The survey found that Tampa drivers are:

  •     4th least likely to curse at another driver (tied with Seattle)
  •     2nd least likely to wave their arms or shake a fist at other drivers
