TALLAHASSEE, FLA. (WTXL) - Tallahassee Police release surveillance video from the night a lone gunman entered Strozier library.
The video provides a look at what really happened the night Myron May shooting three students. The surveillance shows how students reacted as the shooting happened, and allows us to better track some of myron may's last moments.
According to a report released by Tallahassee Police, may entered the library around 12:06am. In the video, you can see him stop by the turn style at the front entrance and then exit the library. According to the report, about 12 to 13 minutes later, may fired the first shots outside. This is when both Ronny Ahmed and Elijay Velez were shot.
Later in the footage, you see May walk back into the library and point a gun at Nathan Scott and Paige Mcphadden who were hiding behind the welcome desk. According to reports this is when may shot Nathan Scott in the leg. He then pointed the gun at Mcphadden, but his gun failed to fire.
May was shot and killed by police outside of the library shortly after these events. An autopsy revealed he was shot over 20 times.
