COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTXL) - A local sports drink company is heading out to provide aid in the wake of hurricane Florence.
When SuperCharged Owner Nick Smith, who grew up in North Carolina, saw the devastation in his home state, he was inspired to help.
At the beginning of the week, he and his crew loaded a truck full of SuperCharged Natural Sports Drinks and headed north to drop off the supplies to first responders, shelters and more.
"It keeps these people going," Smith said. "They were telling me hey we been up for 36 hours. I just got more of an adrenaline rush to deliver to them and to keep these people going to helping these people to get back into their homes."
They have done one trip so far, but Smith says they definitely intend to do more to help.
