TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The Capital City Kiwanis Club (CCKC) will host their first ever Firecracker 5K on the Fourth of July. Previously, the Greensboro Kiwanis Club operated the first 30 annual editions of this community celebration.
The race will benefit the CCKC, which supports a range of community services for children and their families, including Souther Scholarship Foundation, Miracle Sports, Key Clubs, Builder Club, ECHO Feed the Hungry, and Meals on Wheels.
The event will take place at the Eenor Klapp-Phipps Park, which is on 1700 Miller Landing Road, Gate B. On-site registration starts at 6:30 a.m and the race begins at 7:30 a.m. The cost is $20 with T-shirt, and $15 without T-shirt, and $23 the day of the race.
