TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Nick Lamar joined us this morning for another editor of Sunrise Rocks.
Lamar mixes both R&B and Hip-Hop into his music incorporating Disco, EDM, and alternative elements as well. His artist influences include Outkast, Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson, and Beyonce.
At age 17, Nick Lamar auditioned for American Idol. He made it in the top 100, but was eliminated after the round. Lamar also attended Florida A&M University. During his final semester, he decided to try out for American Idol once again. He was eliminated, but this time it was during the Top 75 round. He went on to complete his first solo project, "Lucid".
