TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- All week long on Sunrise and Midday, WTXL is taking a look at some of the summer camps in our area with the Summer Camp Sampler.

This summer, teens can get some hands-on experience with nature under the guidance of expert naturalists. It's all thanks to the Fall Line South Field Institute's Red Hills to Forgotten Coast Adventure.

It's not a traditional summer camp like you may picture. Teens will literally be setting up camps in different areas along their trek. Those taking part will camp and travel throughout north Florida, starting in Tallahassee and ending in St. George Island. It's the first time this adventure is being offered in the area.

Catherine Meeks, co-founder of Fall Line South Field Institute, stopped by WTXL Midday for all the details about the camp. Click the thumbnail for the complete interview.

Red Hills to Forgotten Coast adventure camp is available for ages 14-18. Camp runs June 6-14, and you must register by May 22. The camp starts at $795. For more information, call (615) 598-3414 or click here.
