TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- It was back to school for students in Leon and Gadsden counties. Today was the first day of classes for schools like Riley Elementary in Tallahassee.
Parents said it's been a long hot summer, and they're happy to have their kids back in school. Students said they're glad to see their friends again, now that school has brought them back together.
"It was kinda so fun," said second grader Cody Lewis. "I listened to my teacher and did a lot of stuff."
Leon County has been using the hashtag #LCSFirstDay to share photos on social media from around the county's schools.
