BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Two students have been shot at an Alabama high school.

Both victims have been transported to a local hospital. One has life-threatening injuries.

Police are saying that the shooting was "accidental," though they have yet to provide clarification on what that means.

Students interviewed by WBRC said the bell rang at 3:40. Shoots occurred around 3:45. The school was placed on lockdown.

A third person, who is not a student, was injured, but it is unknown to what extent. Birmingham mayor Randall Woodfin is currently on the way to Huffman High.
